Uninstalling the Battery Management System (APU)

  • Disconnect the inverter and battery from voltage sources.

    Procedure:

    1. Remove the external switch line between the Battery Management System (APU) and the battery cabinet (external switch).
    2. Remove the DC lines from the Battery Management System to the first and last battery module and to the inverter.
    3. Remove the communication cables from the Battery Management System to the first battery module and to the inverter if necessary.
    4. Loosen and remove the M6x16 pan-head screws (crosshead) with plastic washers from the pre-installed cage nuts.
    5. Pull the Battery Management System slightly out of the battery cabinet so that you can reach the grounding cable at the rear of the Battery Management System.
    6. Use a torque wrench (10 mm) to undo the grounding cable and ground connection and remove the Battery Management System from the battery cabinet.
