Routing DC Cables to the Inverter or DC Distributor in the Battery Cabinet
Qualified person
The power connection between the battery and inverter or DC distributor is established using the DC cables from the supplied DC connector set. These DC cables can be shortened only at the inverter or at the DC distributor. Therefore, before connecting the inverter or DC distributor and the battery cabinet, route the DC cables required for this as described in this section. The CHARGER+ and CHARGER- connections on the battery management system must not be wired during this.
Procedure:
- Pick a brush opening for leading the DC cables out of the battery cabinet. To lead out the DC cables in a downward direction, use the lower brush openings in the two side panels or in the rear panel of the cabinet. To lead out the DC cables in an upward direction, use the brush opening in the cabinet cover as well as the preassembled C rails and the cable clamp clips.
- Lead the DC cable with red connector from the supplied DC connector set starting from the CHARGER+ connection to the chosen brush opening and out of the battery cabinet.
- Lead the DC cable with black connector from the supplied DC connector set starting from the CHARGER- connection to the chosen brush opening and out of the battery cabinet.
- Secure the DC cables in the battery cabinet. Use the preassembled cable clamps on the right-hand side or the cable clamp clips for this.
- Route the DC cables to the inverter or DC distributor.
