Connecting the DC Distributor

The DC distributor including circuit breaker acts as fuse protection for the battery system only in systems with more than one battery cabinet. The DC distributor and the required connection cables must be ordered separately.

Additionally required material (not included in the scope of delivery):

  • 2 insulated bootlace ferrules (35 mm²)

Procedure:

  1. Disconnect the inverter from voltage sources Disconnecting the Inverter from Voltage Sources).
  2. Disconnect the battery from voltage sources Disconnecting the Battery from Voltage Sources).
  3. Thread the supplied DC lines from the battery cabinets and the DC lines from the battery inverter through the cable glands provided on the bottom of the DC distributor.
  4. If the DC lines are too long, shorten them.
  5. Dismantle the DC lines and strip off the insulation.
  6. Fit the DC conductors with bootlace ferrules.
  7. Remove any cable remnants from the DC distributor.
  8. Connect the DC lines from the battery cabinets to screw terminals X3 and X4. Ensure correct polarity.
  9. Connect the DC lines from the battery inverter to screw terminals X5 and X6. Ensure correct polarity.
  10. Tighten the cable glands of all DC lines (torque: 20 Nm).
  11. Ensure that all conductors are securely in place.
  12. Ensure that the circuit breaker of the DC distributor is switched on.
