Overwriting of custom settings during firmware update
After the update, the parameter defaults must be loaded. This overwrites custom settings.
- Contact Service for the firmware update. Advise Service of custom settings.
Procedure:
- Disconnect the battery and inverter from voltage sources ( > Disconnecting from voltage sources).
- Start the BatMon battery monitoring software and connect it to the battery management system.
- Update the firmware. Contact Service for this.
- Restart the battery management system. To do this, press the external switch on the battery cabinet door and the SWITCH control element on the battery management system.
- Check for any events reported by the battery management system during the restart.
- If the battery management system reports an event during the restart, investigate the cause of the event message.
- If error messages are shown on the display during the restart of the battery management system, find and eliminate the error causes.
- Ensure that the connectors of all DC cables and all communication cables on the battery management system are tight.
- Check that the display turns on after it is tapped and turns off again after 10 seconds.
- Switch off the battery management system. To do this, press the SWITCH control element on the battery management system and the external switch on the battery cabinet door.
- Clean the battery management system with a dry cloth.
- Document all inspection results.
