Overwriting of custom settings during firmware update

After the update, the parameter defaults must be loaded. This overwrites custom settings.

  1. Contact Service for the firmware update. Advise Service of custom settings.

Procedure:

  1. Disconnect the battery and inverter from voltage sources Disconnecting from voltage sources).
  2. Start the BatMon battery monitoring software and connect it to the battery management system.
  3. Update the firmware. Contact Service for this.
  4. Restart the battery management system. To do this, press the external switch on the battery cabinet door and the SWITCH control element on the battery management system.
  5. Check for any events reported by the battery management system during the restart.
  6. If the battery management system reports an event during the restart, investigate the cause of the event message.
  7. If error messages are shown on the display during the restart of the battery management system, find and eliminate the error causes.
  8. Ensure that the connectors of all DC cables and all communication cables on the battery management system are tight.
  9. Check that the display turns on after it is tapped and turns off again after 10 seconds.
  10. Switch off the battery management system. To do this, press the SWITCH control element on the battery management system and the external switch on the battery cabinet door.
  11. Clean the battery management system with a dry cloth.
  12. Document all inspection results.
