Modular design of the battery
The energy content can be extended by operating up to four battery cabinets via a common DC distributor and connecting them to the inverter. The battery management system of one battery cabinet controls and monitors the entire battery-storage system and thus acts as the primary battery cabinet. The battery management systems of the other battery cabinets act as secondary battery cabinets and follow the instructions of the primary battery cabinet.
Additional battery cabinets may be installed in this battery cabinet a maximum of six months after the battery cabinet is first commissioned.
The battery system can be extended in terms of the charging and discharging capacity by connecting a number of Sunny Tripower Storage X systems to an SMA Data Manager M via a local network. Observe the system limits of the Sunny Tripower Storage X.
