Installing an Additional Battery Cabinet


Qualified person

  1. By measuring the voltage at -POL and +POL, verify whether the DC output voltage of each new battery module is between 78.4 V and 78.6 V.
  2. If the DC output voltage of a new battery module is outside the 78.4 V to 78.6 V range, contact Service.
  3. By measuring the voltage at Charger+ and Charger-, verify whether the DC output voltage of each installed battery cabinet is in the specified range.
  4. If the DC output voltage of an installed battery cabinet is not in the specified range, contact Service.
  5. Increase the state of charge of the battery cabinets already installed to 20%. To do this, charge or discharge the battery.
  6. Disconnect the battery and battery inverter from voltage sources Disconnecting from voltage sources).
  7. Install the additional battery cabinet.
  8. Mount the battery management system and battery modules in the additional battery cabinet.
  9. Ground the additional battery cabinet.
  10. Connect the DC cables within the battery cabinet.
  11. Connect the communication cables within the battery cabinet.
  12. Connect the additional battery cabinet to the CAN communication system between the battery cabinets.
  13. Connect the DC cables to the DC distributor.
  14. Set addresses and terminators on the battery management systems of all battery cabinets as appropriate to the current system variant.
  15. Connect the external switch of the additional battery cabinet to the battery management system.
  16. Commission secondary battery cabinets. Configure the additional battery cabinet as a secondary battery cabinet.
  17. Commission the primary battery cabinet.
  18. Commission the inverter.
  19. Reconfigure the inverter.
