Configuring off-grid systems with the system assistant


With the system assistant, a valid system configuration for an off-grid system will be calculated based on your project-related requirements and specifications. You can adjust this system configuration manually to make the system better meet you needs.

Prerequisite:

  • You must have opened a project and planned it up to the project page Configure PV system.

Procedure:

  1. In the area Inverter design, click on the button [System assistant].
  2. The System assistant dialog box will open.
  3. In the tab Requirements and specifications, select whether the system must be able to withstand the conditions of the month with the most unfavorable weather.
  4. Enter the nominal power ratio.
  5. Enter the required autonomous time.
  6. Select the battery type from the drop-down list.
  7. If desired, click on the option Take gensets into account and make the respective settings.
  8. Enter the required solar coverage rate.
  9. To adopt the changes in the system proposal, click on [Calculate system proposal].
  10. The calculated system proposal will be displayed in the System proposal tab.
  11. If desired, change the settings for the nominal AC power of the PV inverter, The AC nominal power of the storage system, and the usable storage capacity.
  12. To check the compatibility of the current settings, click on [Check compatibility].
  13. To adopt the system proposal, click on [Apply proposal].
  14. The dialog box Design for designing the inverter design will open after closing the system assistant.
