Configuring charging stations

Prerequisite:

  • You must have opened an energy system project and planned it up to the project page Energy system.

Procedure:

  1. Click on the button [Charging stations] in the central workspace.
  2. The Charging station quick configuration dialog box will open.
  3. In the upper area in the Technical configuration tab, select whether a Uniform charging tariff for all types of charging stations is to be used or Different charging tariffs per charging station type are to be used.
  4. Select the type and number of used charging stations under the tab Technical configuration. You can select a charging station from a list of typical charging stations and the charging stations defined under My Sunny Design > Own charging stations.
  5. To add an additional charging station, select [Add charging station].
  6. To delete charging stations from the configuration, click on the trash can icon.
  7. To limit the total power of the charging stations, click on the option Intelligent charging power limitation and enter the limit for the charging power. When the charging station is limited to the entered value, the provided charging power is distributed among the individual vehicles.
  8. To specify the strategy in the event of the charging station being overcrowded, select When reaching full charge, clear for other vehicles or Clear for other vehicles only when leaving.
  9. In the field Calculation charging tariff, you can select whether and how the energy charged or usage time should be offset.
  10. If the charging tariff is calculated per kWh or per minute, enter the tariff in the field Charging tariff. The positive values indicate a yield increase. A negative value corresponds to costs incurred as a result of operating the charging stations.
  11. To define the time window for the different uses of the charging station, click on the required time window. You can also click on [Add new time period] to define the time window.
  12. Make the desired settings under the tabs Investment & operating costs and Financing.
  13. Click on [Accept changes].
