Importing Own Consumption Data


  1. In the header, select the menu My Sunny Design > Own load profiles, and in the window Own load profiles, click on the button [Add new load profile].
    or
    In an open project, on the page Define load profile, click on the button [Add new load profile].
  2. The New load profile dialog box will open.
  3. Under Name, enter a name for the load profile.
  4. If required, enter a description for the load profile under Description.
  5. If not yet enabled, enable the field Import consumption data.
  6. Make the settings in the area Import consumption data. These settings are mandatory.
    Note: The setting First day of the year is needed for the efficiency analysis.
  7. Select [Import consumption data].
  8. A window for uploading files will open.
  9. Select the file containing the consumption data to be imported and click on [Open].
  10. A message confirming that the import was successful will be displayed. The calculated energy consumption per year will be displayed automatically in the field Default setting "annual energy consumption".
  11. If a message is displayed stating that the import failed, an error has occurred.
  12. Click on [Details] and read the message.
  13. If the number of data points is not consistent, check the settings for Number of days and Time interval and change these so that the expected number of data points corresponds to the number of data points found in the file.
  14. If the consumption data in the file is not in the first column or if there is data in the other columns, open a spreadsheet program (e.g., Excel), copy the consumption data series, insert it into a new document in the first column, save as a CSV file and then repeat the import procedure.
  15. Select [Save load profile].
