Defining the electrical design

Prerequisites:

  • You have opened a project and planned it up to the page Configure system (quick planning) or Configure PV system (detailed planning).

  • You have opened the visual roof planning tool on the page Electrical design.

Procedure:

  1. To calculate the design suggestions, click the button for the desired type of calculation (Design suggestions, Automatic design or Manual design).
  2. Select the rules for string design in the String design dialog.
  3. For the Design suggestions type of calculation, click multiple suggestions and click [Compare selection] if necessary.
  4. The selected design suggestions will be juxtaposed for better comparison.
  5. For the Design suggestions type of calculation in the Compare alternatives dialog, click the [Apply design] button for the desired alternative.
  6. For the Design suggestions or Manual design types of calculation, select the desired design and click on [Adopt design].
  • The strings are calculated and represented in the roof area planning as yellow lines. In the right-hand section, the system section are shown with the inverters whose inputs the strings are connected to.
