With quick planning: configuring a system
In Quick planning, all components of the planned PV system can be planned on this page. If required, you can switch to detailed planning at any time during the planning process via the button [Switch to detailed planning] in the Navigation area. Up to 6 PV arrays can be created.
Prerequisite:
You must have opened a project and planned it up to the page Configure system.
Procedure:
- To plan the PV array with the visual roof planning tool, either select [Visual roof planning] or click on the photo.
- To define the PV array components without further planning of the roof area, click on [Manual roof planning].
- If [Manual roof planning] has been selected: Click on the field [Manufacturer / PV module / module level power electronics] and select the desired PV module.
- The window Change the manufacturer and PV module will open.
- Make the desired PV module settings.
- If desired, enable the option Take Bifacial Gain into account.
- Click on [OK].
- Click on the field [Number of PV modules/Peak power] and, in the dialog box Number of PV modules and peak power, determine the size of the PV array using the number of PV modules or the peak power.
- Select the field [Change orientation or mounting type] and select the desired properties.
- To add more PV modules, select [Add PV array] and make the appropriate settings.
- To select inverters manually, click on [Manual design].
- The Manual design dialog box will open.
- To restrict the list of displayed inverters, enable the required checkboxes under Limit products.
- Select the desired inverter via the checkbox.
- Click on [OK].
- The desired inverter will be added and displayed in the area PV inverter.
- To add further inverters, click on [Manual design].
- To select inverters from design suggestions, click on Design suggestions to have design suggestions displayed.
- To have inverters selected automatically by Sunny Design, select [Automatic design].
- To limit the selection of inverters, click on [Inverter filter] and enable the desired checkboxes.
- The Design dialog box will open.
- If required, change the displacement power factor and the method for calculating design suggestions.
- Click on [Accept changes].
- If the PV system is operated in Germany and provides a DC power of at least 100 kWp, a message appears asking you whether you want to sell unused energy directly to the grid.
- Click on [Yes] if direct selling is to be used. This will add the project page Direct selling.
- To define the battery system, enable the option Take battery-storage systems into account.
- Select whether a single-phase or a three-phase system should be defined.
- In the Device filter window, select the devices that are to be considered for the design.
- Select the battery inverter you want to use from the drop-down list Device.
- If electric vehicles are to be used, enable the option Take e-mobility into account.
- Enter the Name.
- Select the Charging station from the drop-down list.
- Select the Driving profile.
- In the "Energy management" area, select [Automatic design].
