For energy systems: Entering building details

The information on this page defines the absolute energy requirement and the technical features of the energy system. Depending on the selected building type and dimensions, system components and energy requirements will be suggested. When defining the scenario, you can freely choose the system components.

Prerequisite:

  • You must have opened an energy system project and planned it up to the project page Energy system.

Procedure:

  1. In the Energy system area page, click on the [Buildings] button and select [Adjusting the scenario] in the context menu.
  2. The page Define scenario will open.
  3. In the area Details of building, select the building type from the drop-down list Building type. Depending on the selection, the system components and the absolute energy requirement are suggested.
  4. In the "Structure" area, click on the button [New building] or [Existing building]. Depending on the selection, the system components and the absolute energy requirement are adjusted.
  5. In the area Size, choose between the buttons [Small], [Medium] and [Large]. Depending on the selection, the system components and the absolute energy requirement are adjusted.
  6. Select the components used within the system under System components. The selected components can be identified by the checkmark underneath the icon. They can be viewed in the overview of the energy system.
  7. From the drop-down list Heat transfer system, select the system used for space heating.
  8. If you selected two power generators in the System components area, select within the Feed-in priority area the system component whose current is primarily fed in.
  9. Enter the volume of the buffer storage in liters in the area Volume buffer storage. The program suggests a volume based on building type and size, and heating energy requirements.
