Maximum Number of Supported Devices
The Sunny Home Manager supports a maximum of 24 devices.
The term device includes all components that exchange data with the Sunny Home Manager, i.e. SMA inverters (including 1 battery or 1 hybrid inverter per system at most), switching devices such as radio-controlled sockets and relays, and also smart appliances (including a maximum of 3 SMA charging stations SMA EV Charger and/or SMA eChargers per system). SMA Energy Meters (per system a maximum of 2 devices) assigned in the meter configuration for grid-supply and feed-in as well as for PV generation are not counted as such devices.
Of the 24 devices, a maximum of 12 devices can be actively controlled by the Sunny Home Manager.
Actively controlled means that the Sunny Home Manager not only displays the energy consumption of the device – a direct load or a load connected via a switching device – but also actively switches the device. Beyond the limit of 12 devices, further devices up to the maximum number of 24 devices can be monitored and visualized via switching devices, but not switched.

In this example, the Sunny Home Manager can only actively control 8 of the connected 17 radio-controlled sockets due to the devices already actively controlled via an EEBus or SEMP interface. This means that only those loads can be included in the energy management that are connected to these 8 actively controlled radio-controlled sockets.
