Activating the Self-Consumption Function
If you want to use the self-generated PV energy in your household, the Sunny Home Manager system must be configured accordingly.
If you already answered Yes to the question about self-consumption when you created the system in Sunny Portal ( > Creating a Sunny Home Manager System in Sunny Portal), you do not have to do anything.
If you have not yet made this specification when creating the system or if you want to subsequently set your system to self-consumption, you can make this setting either via the configuration of the Sunny Home Manager or via the configuration of the system.
Activating self-consumption via the Sunny Home Manager:
- In the menu Configuration, click on Device overview.
- Go to Properties in the row of the Sunny Home Manager.
- Select [Edit].
- Go to SMA SMART HOME Settings and select Yes under System with self-consumption:.
- Click on [Save].
Activating self-consumption in the configuration of the system:
- Click on System properties in the Configuration menu.
- Select the tab Parameters.
- Select [Edit].
- Go to Reimbursement and select Yes under PV system with self-consumption:.
- Click on [Save].
