  2. The New load tab opens with the input fields for the properties of the new load.
  3. In the Load properties field, select Heat pump with SG READY as Load type from the drop-down list.
  4. Enter a name for your heat pump under Load name.
  5. Under Power Consumption, indicate how many watts the heat pump typically requires (see type label or manufacturer's specifications).
  6. Enter the required time periods for the Minimum switch-on time and the Minimum switch-off time of the heat pump.
  7. Set the Priority of the heat pump.
  8. In the Measuring and switching section, select from the drop-down list the option The assigned device is only to switch, not measure (fixed power consumption).
  9. Under Device assignment, specify the compatible radio-controlled socket or relay via which your heat pump is to be controlled.
  10. Optionally, you can select and upload a Load icon for the heat pump and assign a Load color under which the heat pump is displayed in the load overview on the Configuration > Load Overview and planning menu page and on the Sunny Home Manager system > Load balance and control menu page.
  11. Click on [Save].
  12. A window appears with the message that the heat pump has been successfully added as a load.
  13. You can proceed directly and configure a time window for the heat pump by clicking on Configure time window.
  14. If you do not want to configure a time window (yet), close the message.
You can select the heat pump at any time via the Load balance and control menu page or the Load overview and planning menu page and access the load properties there via the configuration icon in order to set up one or more time windows at a later date.

Configuring the time period

  1. Select Configuration > Load Overview and Planning in the page and menu selection.
  2. In the "heat pump" line, in the column Configuration, click on icon.
  3. In the tab of heat pump, click on the button [Edit].
  4. Click on [Configure time period].

  10. If you select Proportion of the PV energy, you must use light bulb slider to set the minimum proportion of PV energy that must be present so that Sunny Home Manager will switch on the load during the configured time period.
For example, if you set the slider to 50%, the heat pump will be turned on only when there is enough PV energy to meet 50% of the energy demand.
The percentages for each energy type are displayed to the right of the slider.
  11. If you select Maximum permitted energy costs, you must use the light bulb slider to set the maximum energy costs at which Sunny Home Manager will switch on the load during the configured time period.
For example, if you set the slider to 0 Euro/kWh, the heat pump will be switched on only when there is enough surplus PV energy or when there is more PV energy available than can be fed into the utility grid.
The costs are displayed in Eur/kWh to the right of the slider.
