System yield in the annual comparison

The system yields of previous years are compared to each other in a diagram with associated table on the menu page Annual comparison. Thus, the system must have been in operation for more than 1 year so that data for an annual comparison can be displayed here.

The expected average yield results from a manual specification that you can make based on your system's location data. Depending on the orientation and the irradiation fluctuations between the individual years, there might be considerably larger deviations in contrast to the expected average yield.

Specific system yield

In the diagram:

The specific system yield is a key figure for describing the quality of a system. System-specific factors such as location, tilt angle, shading, module and inverter types are taken into consideration to calculate the specific system yield. The specific system yield enables you to compare various systems at various locations.

Calculation of the expected yield

The button Edit prediction values takes you directly to the menu where you enter the specific annual yield and can have the expected annual yield calculated ( > Entering the Expected Yield).
The Predicted annual yield of the PV system is calculated from the specific annual yield (kWh/kWp) at the PV system location and the PV system power (kWp).
You can obtain the specific annual yield for your PV system location from irradiation maps. Local conditions such as shading or the system orientation are not taken into account. You can obtain the nominal system power from your installer.

The Monthly distribution of the expected annual yield shows how the expected annual yield is distributed throughout the year. Given complete information about the system location, Sunny Portal can suggest a distribution. For this, click on the button [Suggest a monthly distribution].

You may also enter a percentage value for each month (the sum must result in 100%).

You can enter or change all data regarding your system in the Configuration menu on the PV system properties page.
