Entering the Predicted Annual Yield

Sunny Portal can display in a table how the predicted annual yield of your system is likely to be distributed throughout the months of the year.

The predicted annual yield of the system is calculated from the specific annual yield (kWh/kWp) at the system location multiplied by the nominal PV system power (kWp).

You can obtain the specific annual yield for your system location from irradiation maps. Local conditions such as the shading or orientation of the system are not taken into account by Sunny Portal. You can obtain the nominal system power (also called nominal power) from your installer.

Procedure:

  1. In the area Yield Expectations , enter the specific annual yield in the text field Specific Annual Yield.
  2. To enable configuration of the average expected yield and the monthly distribution on the page Annual Comparison, activate the checkbox The monthly distribution can be configured in the diagrams.
  3. Click on [Save].

Entering the monthly distribution of the predicted annual yield

The monthly distribution shows how the predicted annual yield is likely to be distributed throughout the months of the year.

You have the following options:

  • Having Sunny Portal Suggest the Monthly Distribution

  • Entering the monthly distribution manually

Requirement:

Having Sunny Portal suggest the monthly distribution:

  1. In the area Yield expectations, select [Suggest a Monthly Distribution].
  2. The monthly distribution is displayed in the table with the months.
  3. To display the average expected yield and the monthly distribution in the diagrams on the pages Annual Comparison and Energy and Power, activate the checkbox Display the monthly distribution in the yearly comparison, as well as energy and power.
  4. To enable configuration of the average expected yield on the pages Annual Comparison and Energy and Power, activate the checkbox The monthly distribution can be configured in the diagrams.
  5. Click on [Save].

Entering the monthly distribution manually:

  1. In the area Yield Expectations, enter the values in the fields in % in the table with the months. The sum must add up to 100%. You can change these values at any time to get a better distribution.
  2. To display the predicted annual yield and the monthly distribution in the diagrams on the pages Annual Comparison and Energy and Power, activate the checkbox Display the monthly distribution in the yearly comparison, as well as energy and power.
  3. To enable configuration of the predicted annual yield on the pages Annual Comparison and Energy and Power, activate the checkbox The monthly distribution can be configured in the diagrams.
  4. Click on [Save].
