Electrical Connection Procedure with Multiple Parallel-Connected Battery Cabinets


This section describes the procedure for the electrical connection of the product when multiple battery cabinets are used in a system. It gives an overview of the steps, which must always be performed in the prescribed sequence.

Ensure that the requirements for the electrical connection are fulfilled.

Ground the battery cabinets.

Earthing the battery cabinet)

Configure all secondary battery cabinets before making further connections.

Configure the primary battery cabinet before making further connections.

Configuring the primary battery cabinet with multiple battery cabinets)

Connect the AC cables to the inverter.

Connect the network cables to the inverter.

Connect the battery communication cables for CAN to the inverter.

Connect the DC lines to the inverter. Record the device type and serial number of the inverter in the commissioning report.

Connect the AC cable to the battery cabinets.

Connect the DC cables to the battery cabinets. With the indoor version, connect all battery cabinets to the DC Combiner. With the outdoor version, connect all battery cabinets together in parallel.

Connect the battery communication system between the battery cabinets.

Connecting the CAN communication between the battery cabinets)

Connect the battery communication system to the inverter.

Connect the energy meter (Energy Meter or Power Quality Analyzer).
