Performing a visual inspection of the battery and cleaning where necessary


Qualified person

  1. Check for loud or unusual noises coming from the battery cabinet, its air conditioning unit, or fan.
  2. Carefully check whether the battery enclosure has an unusual temperature.
  3. Check that the ambient conditions of the battery still meet the climatic requirements.
  4. If the ambient conditions of the battery do not meet the climatic requirements, decommission the system and contact Service for a more detailed examination of the system. Find and eliminate the causes of the deviation in the ambient conditions.
  5. Check for any visible signs of moisture around the battery.
  6. If there are visible signs of moisture around the battery, decommission the system and contact Service for a more detailed examination of the system. Find and eliminate the causes of the moisture.
  7. Check for rust, flaking paint, or damage on the battery.
  8. If there is significant damage, decommission the system and contact Service for a more detailed examination of the system.
  9. Document all inspection results.
  10. Remove dirt or dust deposits from the battery cabinet, ventilation openings, or fans using a dry cloth.
  11. Replace cotton padding if necessary.
