Commissioning Procedure

Before commissioning the system, you must make various settings. This section describes the procedure and gives an overview of the steps, which must always be performed in the prescribed sequence.

Commission the inverter.

Commissioning the Inverter

Establish a connection to the user interface of the inverter. The following connection options are available to choose from:

  • Direct connection via WLAN

  • Direct connection via Ethernet

  • Connection via Ethernet in the local network

Establishing a Connection via Ethernet in the local network

Log into the user interface.

The installation assistant opens automatically when logging into the user interface for the first time.

Set the system-specific basic configuration. Please note that the personal SMA Grid Guard code for changing the grid-relevant parameters must be available after completion of the first ten operating hours (see "Application for SMA Grid Guard Code" at www.SMA-Solar.com).

Complete commissioning

In order to receive service assignments for the Sunny Island system, all system data must be recorded in the information sheet for Sunny Island systems during commissioning and made available to Service (for information sheet see www.SMA-Solar.com).
