Setting the Solar Charging Mode
You can choose between three different charging modes:
Charging mode | Function |
---|---|
DLM standard | All subordinate charging points (slaves) are charged with the maximum available current. |
Surplus PV energy | The vehicle is charged when there is enough excess power to charge with the specified minimum current. Vehicles then charge largely without energy from the grid. |
Surplus PV energy + Grid-supplied power | If there is little PV energy available, a fixed amount of electricity is drawn from the grid. The vehicle can then be charged mainly with self-generated energy. |
If you use an external meter, you can specify the connection point of the external meter under Load management > DLM External measurement and control > Installation site of the external meter.
Topology | Definition |
---|---|
Utility grid | Meter is installed at the point of interconnection |
External load | Meter is installed on an external load |
Renewable energy | Meter is installed on a PV system |
Requirements:
The user interface of the main device (DLM master) must be open and you must be logged in.
Procedure:
- In the navigation area, select [Load management].
- You can select one of the three charging modes under DLM Solar charging.
Information: If the Surplus PV energy + grid-supplied power charging mode is selected, the Maximum extra current due to grid supply [A] must be entered to support the PV surplus power. If the two charging points of the charging station are to charge simultaneously at three-phase with 6 A even without surplus PV energy, the value 36 A must be entered. - Under Use solar mode on this charging station, select whether the charging station should work in the selected solar mode.
- Click on [Save] to save the changes and [Restart].
