DANGER

Danger to life due to electric shock when live components or DC cables are touched

When exposed to light, the PV modules generate high DC voltage which is present in the DC cables. Touching live DC cables results in death or lethal injuries due to electric shock.

  1. Do not touch non-insulated parts or cables.
  2. Disconnect the product from voltage sources and ensure it cannot be reconnected before working on the device.
  3. Do not disconnect the DC connectors under load.
  4. Wear suitable personal protective equipment for all work on the product.

WARNING

Danger to life due to electric shock from destruction of the measuring device due to overvoltage

Overvoltage can damage a measuring device and result in voltage being present in the enclosure of the measuring device. Touching the live enclosure of the measuring device results in death or lethal injuries due to electric shock.

  1. Only use measuring devices with a measurement ranges designed for the maximum AC and DC voltage of the inverter.

NOTICE

Destruction of the inverter due to overvoltage

If the open-circuit voltage of the PV modules exceeds the maximum input voltage of the inverter, the inverter can be destroyed due to overvoltage.

  1. If the open-circuit voltage of the PV modules exceeds the maximum input voltage of the inverter, do not connect any strings to the inverter and check the design of the PV system.

NOTICE

Damage to the product due to sand, dust and moisture ingress if the DC inputs are not closed

The product is only properly sealed when all unused DC inputs are closed with DC connectors or sealing plugs. Sand, dust and moisture penetration can damage the product and impair its functionality.

  1. Do not remove the sealing plugs from DC inputs that are not required.

Procedure:

  1. Ensure that the AC miniature circuit breaker is switched off and that it cannot be reconnected.
  2. 13728217868
  3. Switch off the 3 DC load-break switches of the inverter.
  4. Measure the PV array voltage. Ensure that the maximum input voltage of the inverter is adhered to and that there is no ground fault in the PV array.
  5. Check whether the DC connectors have the correct polarity. If the DC connector is equipped with a DC cable of the wrong polarity, the DC connector must be reassembled. When this is done, the respective DC cable must always have the same polarity as the DC connector.
  6. Ensure that the open-circuit voltage of the PV array does not exceed the maximum input voltage of the inverter.

  8. Connect the assembled DC connectors to the inverter.
  9. The DC connectors snap into place.
  10. For unused DC connectors, push down the clamping bracket and push the swivel nut up to the thread.
  11. 14271093260
  12. Insert the sealing plug into the DC plug connector.
  13. Insert the DC connectors with sealing plugs into the corresponding DC inputs of the inverter.
  14. The DC connectors snap into place.
  15. Ensure that all DC connectors are securely in place.
