SMA Energy Meter or Sunny Home Manager

Either an SMA Energy Meter or a Sunny Home Manager can be used in the system.

Both products record energy flows bidirectionally at the point of interconnection.

The Sunny Boy Smart Energy as System Manager can perform the following tasks together with the energy meter:

• Collection of energy- and power measured values in the interconnected household

• Energy monitoring: display energy flows via the SMA Energy App and Sunny Portal powered by ennexOS

• Dynamic limiting of the active power feed-in

When a Sunny Home Manager is used, it is the central device for energy management and performs the following tasks:

• Monitoring and forecasting energy flows in the system

• Optimized self-consumption through load control

• Increased self-consumption for dynamic active power limitation

• Increased self-consumption through forecast-based battery charging

• Increased Self-Consumption and Peak Load Shaving

Only 1 battery can be used in systems with Sunny Home Manager.
