Configuring the Digital Input for Fast Stop

In this section the configuration of the digital fast stop is described. In addition to the fast-stop function you can also make supplementary settings here according to paragraph 14a of the Energy Industry Act (EnWG), for example limiting the power drawn from the utility grid when the battery is being charged from the grid.
When using third-party batteries with the Sunny Boy Smart Energy, it should be noted that the Generic Stop Input (GSI) must be bridged. Only then can the device correctly react in the event of an incident. When the fast stop is triggered, the battery will be completely switch off rather than simply limiting the power draw to 4.2 kW.
Requirements:
A switch for a fast stop must be connected to the digital input GSI.
The inverter to which the switch is connected, must be configured as System Manager.
The digital input must not be inverted.
The user interface must be open and you must be logged in as Installer or Administrator.
Procedure:
- Select the product in the focus navigation.
- Select the menu Configuration.
- Select the menu item I/O configurations.
- Select + to add a new configuration.
- Select the type of the I/O channel Digital input.
- Select the use for the digital input Signal fast stop.
- Configure the connected switch as a break contact to ensure the safety of the system in the event of a cable break.
- Select the System Manager to which the switch for the fast stop is connected.
- Select the digital input.
- Assign the name of the I/O channel (e.g. fast stop).
- Click on [Save].
