Connecting the CAN communication between the battery cabinets of the outdoor version

Qualified person

One inverter can have up to four battery cabinets connected to it. For systems with more than one battery cabinet, the battery cabinets must be connected to each other in series via a CAN communication bus.

Procedure:

  1. Check that the preinstalled terminator is plugged into SPD2 (IN) on the primary battery cabinet.

  2. Plug one end of the communication cable into SPD3 (IN) on the primary battery cabinet.
  3. Plug the other end of the communication cable into SPD2 (IN) on the first secondary battery cabinet.
  4. Connect the remaining battery cabinets from SPD3 (IN) to SPD2 (IN) using a communication cable.
  5. SPD3 (IN): Connection to the next battery cabinet
  6. SPD2 (IN): Connection to the preceding battery cabinet
  7. Plug a terminator into SPD3 (IN) on the last secondary battery cabinet.

  8. Disconnect the insulated conductors R1-H and R1-L behind the display of each battery cabinet and remove the cable.
