Fast stop function
The fast stop function is a digital input on the inverter via which the inverter can be disconnected from the utility grid. It can be triggered by means of an external potential-free contact (break contact).
The Sunny Tripower Storage X (STPS30-20; STPS50-20) and the Sunny Island X (SI30-20; SI50-20) are equipped by default with a suitable interface for power reduction via an external control device in accordance with the requirements of §14a of the German Energy Act (EnWG). The type of external control device (control box or ripple control receiver) is determined by the local grid operator.
The Sunny Tripower Storage X and the Sunny Island X can be switched off via the fast stop input to comply with the requirements of §14a of the German Energy Act (EnWG). The configuration for the fast stop input is described in section Configuring the fast stop function.
Improved functionality (reduction of the power drawn in charging mode to 4.2 kW) is also planned and will be possible in the future with both the SMA Data Manager M and the System Manager integrated into the Sunny Tripower Storage X or Sunny Island X in conjunction with I/O modules (MD.IO-41).
