Event message:
Battery undervoltage/EvtUnVBat
Explanation:
The inverter displays a battery undervoltage. Regarding inverters with a firmware version < 3.04.16.R, the instantaneous value displayed is not actually a measured value of the inverter, but a value transmitted from the battery via the CAN communication cable. Inverters with a firmware version ≥ 3.04.16.R display a value measured by the inverter. If the event message occurs during commissioning, the cause may be reverse polarity of the power cables of the battery connection or an error in connecting the cable for battery communication.
Corrective measures:
During commissioning:
If the instantaneous values displayed are not correct, ensure that the assignment of the terminal of the COM connector for battery communication is correct.
If the instantaneous values displayed are not correct, ensure that the COM connector is properly connected to the inverter.
Ensure that the connection of the battery module to the inverter and to the battery module is correctly executed. Rule out reverse polarity.
Ensure that the correct DC connectors (MC4) are used. To do this, use the battery connection cables supplied with the inverter and the DC connectors supplied with the SMA Home Storage.
For existing systems:
Disconnect the inverter from voltage sources and wait 15 minutes before recommissioning the inverter.
Check the battery voltage according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
If this event message is displayed again after the corrective measures, contact Service.
