Signal cable requirements

The cable length and quality affect the quality of the signal. Observe the following cable requirements:

• Conductor cross-section: 0.5 mm² to 0.75 mm² (21 AWG to 19 AWG)

• External diameter: Max. 8 mm (0.3 in)

• Maximum cable length: 100 m (328 ft)

• Insulation stripping length: 6 mm (0.24 in)

• Sheath stripping length: 150 mm (5.9 in)

• UV-resistant for outdoor use

• The cable type and cable-laying method must be appropriate for the application and location.
