BMS assembly replacement

The BMS assembly (Battery Management System) in the SMA Home Storage is the central control unit of the battery module.

In case of certain error messages, a BMS assembly replacement may be necessary. Service will decide whether a replacement is required based on the error pattern. If a BMS replacement is offered to resolve the error, installers can carry out the replacement right on site. In this case, SMA Solar Technology AG will send a spare part set incl. a replacement manual to the installer. The installer must have also previously watched and acknowledged the training video created by SMA Solar Technology AG regarding the replacement of the BMS assembly.
