Operating Modes of the Multifunction Relay
Operating mode of multifunction relay (Mlt.OpMode) | Description |
---|---|
Deactivated | The multifunction relay is deactivated. |
Switching state Backup current active (BckOpModActl) | The multifunction relay controls a display device (e.g. an indicator light) which signals whether the battery-backup operation is active. |
Fan control (FanCtl) | The multifunction relay controls an external fan, depending on the temperature of the inverter. If the temperature of the inverter rises above a limiting value defined by SMA, the fan starts automatically. If the temperature falls below the limiting value, the fan is switched off again. |
Control via communication | The multifunction relay controls other devices in the system (e.g. a heat pump) via the SG-Ready contact. |
Fault indication (FltInd) | The multifunction relay opens when the current flow is interrupted and controls an indicator device (e.g. a warning light), which signals an inverter fault by the green LED going out. |
Ground-fault detection | The multifunction relay signals whether there is a ground fault. |
