SMA Commercial eMobility Solution
The SMA Commercial eMobility Solution is a fully integrated charging solution for commercial vehicle fleets. It consists of the SMA EV Charger Business plus the use of the SMA eMobility Portal ( > SMA eMobility Portal).
With the EV Charger Business, you can quickly and easily create multiple charging points and expand them as needed. Each SMA EV Charger Business features two charging points including charging cable and type-2 connectors or charging sockets. This means, you can charge up to 4 vehicles at a single charging station. As an alternative, the SMA EV Charger Business is also suitable for wall mounting.
The integrated load control supports up to 250 charging points or 125 EV Chargers and protects the system from overload and unbalanced load. Naturally, external loads can be considered and the generation from PV current included. In this case, an additional energy meter, compatible with the SMA EV Charger Business, is necessary for the energy and power measurement ( > Dynamic load management).
The SMA EV Charger Business is available either with charging socket or charging cable. Furthermore, you have the option of choosing the SMA EV Charger Business in a version that complies with the MID (European Measuring Device Directive) or with calibration regulations.
The SMA EV Charger Business, which complies with calibration regulations, makes it possible to record and manage the charging process in accordance with the requirements of the German Measurement and Verification Act (MessEG). Compliance with calibration regulations is required in Germany when:
The charging current is billed to third parties (e.g. employees)
Charging points are operated in a manner that allows public access
Roaming (billing via charging cards, in connection with the SMA eMobility Portal) is offered
