Grounding the Battery

An additional grounding of the product is required to protect against touch current in case the grounding conductor fails at the terminal of the DC cable.

The product features a ground connection for this grounding.

Additionally required material (not included in the scope of delivery):

  • 1 heat-shrink tubing
  • 1 ring terminal lug (M6)
  • 1 grounding cable (10 mm²)

    Procedure:

    1. Strip off the insulation from the grounding cable and crimp the ring terminal lug (M6).
    2. Pull the heat-shrink tubing over the grounding cable. The heat-shrink tubing must be below the stripped cable section.

    3. Attach the grounding cable to the ground connection using the supplied screw and washer assembly (M6x16, tightening torque: 5 Nm).
