Disconnecting the Product from Voltage Sources
WARNING
Danger to life due to electric shock from destruction of the measuring device due to overvoltage
Overvoltage can damage a measuring device and result in voltage being present in the enclosure of the measuring device. Touching the live enclosure of the measuring device results in death or lethal injuries due to electric shock.
- Only use measuring devices with measurement ranges designed for the maximum DC voltage of the battery.
Procedure:
- If a Backup Box or a Backup Kit (automatic transfer switching device) is present, ensure that this has been decommissioned in accordance with the respective manual before de-energizing the inverter. Otherwise, the backup function will be triggered and the system will remain live.
- Disconnect the inverter from voltage sources (see inverter manual).
- Open the cover of the DC circuit breaker on the Battery Management System and switch off the DC circuit breaker.
- Remove the DC cables.
- Verify the absence of voltage between the positive and negative poles on the BMS unit.
- Close the cover of the DC circuit breaker.
