Dependencies for Requesting the Utility Grid
In order to adapt the grid management service to the requirements of the battery-backup system, you can change the dependencies for requesting the utility grid.
Requesting the utility grid | Explanation |

State-of-charge-dependent request | The grid management service requests the utility grid for battery charging depending on the battery state of charge. In this way, the grid management service prevents the battery from being discharged too deeply. Tip: You can also configure the request to be dependent on the time of day. |
Load-dependent request | If the requirements of the electrical loads in the battery-backup grid exceed a specified limit, the grid management service requests the utility grid. The utility grid then supplies the loads. This reduces the load on the battery. |
Charging-procedure-dependent request | You can configure whether the utility grid is requested for full charge, equalization charge or both charging processes. |
Requirement:
The Sunny Island is in operation.
Procedure:
- Log into the user interface of the Sunny Island.
- Select AC Side in the menu Device parameters.
- To set the parameters, open the menu item Public electricity mains and select Network request via battery state of charge.
- Select Yes under Activated.
- Setting the load-dependent requirement can be enabled under the menu item Network request via power.
- The request depending on the charging procedure can be enabled under Network request via charge type.
