Crimping of Ring Terminal Lug
Qualified person
- Pull the heat-shrink tubing over the conductor. The heat-shrink tubing must be below the stripped conductor section.
- Plug the terminal lug onto the conductor.
- Insert the stripped section of the insulated conductor into the ring terminal lug and crimp using a crimping tool.
- Pull the heat-shrink tubing onto the crimped section of the ring terminal lug. Use a hot-air blower to shrink the heat-shrink tubing so that it is in firm contact with the ring terminal lug.
