Setting SMA ShadeFix

For shaded systems, activate the SMA ShadeFix shading management and set the time interval in which the inverter searches for the optimum operating point.

The basic procedure for changing operating parameters is explained in another section ( > Changing Operating Parameters).

Procedure:

  1. Select the parameter SMA ShadeFix or MPPShdw.IsOn and set to Ein or On.
  2. Select the parameter Time interval SMA ShadeFix or MPPShdw.CycTms and set the required time interval. The ideal time interval is usually six minutes. This value should only be increased if the shading situation changes extremely slowly.
  3. The inverter optimizes the MPP of the PV system at the predetermined time interval.
