IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

Keep the manual for future reference.

This section contains safety information that must be observed at all times when working.

DANGER

Danger to life due to electric shock when live components or conductors within the system are touched

The neutral conductor of the product is not switched depending on the configuration. As a result, capacitive leakage currents from the PV modules may flow to the neutral conductor and the neutral conductor is live if the connection to the grounding conductor is interrupted.

  1. For any work during which the neutral conductor connection is interrupted, the automatic backup system must be taken out of operation and secured against being switched back on.

DANGER

Danger to life due to electric shock when live components or DC cables are touched

The DC cables connected to a battery or a PV module may be live. Touching live DC cables results in death or serious injury due to electric shock.

  1. Disconnect the system from voltage sources and make sure it cannot be reconnected before working on the device.
  2. Wait five minutes before working on the inverter.
  3. Observe all safety information of the battery manufacturer.
  4. Do not touch non-insulated parts or cables.
  5. Do not pull the DC conductors under load out of the terminal blocks.
  6. Wear suitable personal protective equipment for all work on the product.

DANGER

Danger to life due to electric shock when touching live system components in case of a ground fault

If a ground fault occurs, parts of the system may still be live. Touching live parts and cables results in death or lethal injuries due to electric shock.

  1. Disconnect the system from voltage sources and make sure it cannot be reconnected before working on the device.
  2. Only touch the cables of the PV modules on their insulation.
  3. Do not touch any parts of the substructure or frame of the PV array.
  4. Do not connect PV strings with ground faults to the inverter.
  5. Once disconnected from voltage sources, wait five minutes before touching any parts of the PV system or the system.

NOTICE

Damage to the system due to sand, dust and moisture ingress

Sand, dust and moisture penetration can damage the products of the system and impair its functionality.

  1. Only open the product if the humidity is within the thresholds and the environment is free of sand and dust.
  2. Do not open the product during a dust storm or precipitation.
  3. Close the product in case of interruption of work or after finishing work.
  4. Only operate the product when it is closed.
  5. Close tightly all enclosure openings.
