Connecting the Inverter to the Utility Grid
Qualified person
Requirements:
- The connection requirements of the grid operator must be met.
- The grid voltage must be within the permissible range. The exact operating range of the inverter is specified in the operating parameters.
Procedure:
- Disconnect the AC miniature circuit breaker from all 3 line conductors and secure against reconnection.
- Ensure that the DC load-break switch of the inverter is switched off .
- Ensure that the battery is switched off.
- Remove the cover from the AC connection area.
- Retrieve the cable gland of the AC connection area from the scope of delivery of the inverter.
- Dismantle the AC cable.
- Strip off the insulation of L1, L2, L3, N and PE by at least 20 mm.
- For conductors made of aluminum, remove the oxide film and apply protective grease to the conductors.
- Crimp 1 bootlace ferrule each onto the conductors L1, L2, L3, N and grounding conductor.
- For a cable diameter of ≥ 19 mm, remove the inner sealing ring from the AC connector.
- Thread the AC cable through the cable gland. If necessary, slightly loosen the swivel nut of the cable gland.
- Insert the conductors L1, L2, L3, N and PE into the terminal according to the labeling and tighten the terminal screws with the supplied screwdriver bit (tightening torque: 4 Nm).
- Ensure that the conductors are correctly assigned and firmly seated in the terminal.
- Attach the cable gland of the AC connection area to the enclosure of the inverter. The connector must snap audibly into place.
- Tighten the swivel nut on the cable gland hand-tight.
