Connecting the Inverter to the Utility Grid

Qualified person

Requirements:

  • The connection requirements of the grid operator must be met.
  • The grid voltage must be within the permissible range. The exact operating range of the inverter is specified in the operating parameters.

    Procedure:

    1. Disconnect the AC miniature circuit breaker from all 3 line conductors and secure against reconnection.

    3. Ensure that the DC load-break switch of the inverter is switched off .
    4. Ensure that the battery is switched off.

    6. Remove the cover from the AC connection area.
    7. Retrieve the cable gland of the AC connection area from the scope of delivery of the inverter.
    8. Dismantle the AC cable.
    9. Strip off the insulation of L1, L2, L3, N and PE by at least 20 mm.
    10. For conductors made of aluminum, remove the oxide film and apply protective grease to the conductors.
    11. 17123409036
    12. Crimp 1 bootlace ferrule each onto the conductors L1, L2, L3, N and grounding conductor.
    13. 17123408268
    14. For a cable diameter of ≥ 19 mm, remove the inner sealing ring from the AC connector.
    15. 17123408140
    16. Thread the AC cable through the cable gland. If necessary, slightly loosen the swivel nut of the cable gland.
    17. 17123410572
    18. Insert the conductors L1, L2, L3, N and PE into the terminal according to the labeling and tighten the terminal screws with the supplied screwdriver bit (tightening torque: 4 Nm).
    19. Ensure that the conductors are correctly assigned and firmly seated in the terminal.
    20. 17123411468
    21. Attach the cable gland of the AC connection area to the enclosure of the inverter. The connector must snap audibly into place.
    22. Tighten the swivel nut on the cable gland hand-tight.
