Information on the use of the energy management
The energy management controls the energy flow in the system and optimizes the self-consumption. With the Energy Planner, you configure the time-dependent system behavior, for example for battery charge, grid feed-in or peak load shaving.
The Energy Planner can be configured via the user interface of the System Manager. This interface allows you to create and manage schedules for the operating modes each configured in the energy management.
As soon as the system is created in Sunny Portal powered by ennexOS, the schedules already configured on the user interface of the System Manager will be stored automatically in Sunny Portal. Then, the schedules can be updated or newly configured via the user interface of the System Manager or remotely via Sunny Portal. There is a continuous data exchange between the System Manager and Sunny Portal.
Sunny Portal additionally provides the option to configure schedules remotely and regardless of location. The user interface of the System Manager, however, is available only locally. The advantage of this is that settings can be made on the system even if the System Manager temporarily has no Internet connection, for example.
For the configuration of schedules it is required to activate the energy management and configure at least one operating mode. Only then are the corresponding schedule functions available.
The SMA Premium functions, in particular the Energy Maximizer, are only activated and configured in Sunny Portal ("User manual Sunny Portal powered by ennexOS"). These functions cannot be adjusted via the user interface of the System Manager.
