Updating the inverter firmware version with SMA 360° App

Before commissioning the product, the firmware version of the inverter must be updated to version ≥ 3.12.15.R.

Requirements:

  • An update file with the desired firmware of the product must be available on the smart terminal device. You can download the update file, for example, from the product page under www.SMA-Solar.com.

  • The SMA 360° app (firmware version ≥ 2.1) must be installed and opened on the smart terminal device (e.g., smartphone).

Procedure:

  1. In the main menu, navigate to [Setup] and then [Manual update].
  2. Select update file via [Select file].
  3. When requested by the app, scan the QR code on the cover of the inverter.
  4. Follow the instructions in the app and perform the manual firmware update. Keep in mind that this process can take about 5 minutes.
