Switching on the System

Requirements:

  • The hybrid inverter must be connected with the battery via both the power cable and communication cable.
  • The hybrid inverter and the energy meter must be supplied with electric current on the AC side.

Procedure:

  1. Switch on the battery via its main switch (see battery manual).
  2. Switch on the SMA eCharger (see product manual).
  3. Switch on the DC load-break switch of the inverter (see inverter manual)
  4. Switch on the AC miniature circuit breaker (see inverter manual).
  5. After 1 to 2 minutes, all 3 LEDs light up. The start-up phase begins.
  6. All 3 LEDs go out again after approximately 90 seconds.
  7. The green and red LEDs are flashing. The system is switched on. The Sunny Home Manager or SMA Energy Meter does not need to be switched on additionally. If it is correctly installed at the point of interconnection, it is already switched on.
  8. Switch on additional products (e.g. other subordinate inverters) (see manual of the products).
  9. Commission the system via the SMA 360° app or via the user interface of the System Manager Configuring the System with the SMA 360° App.
