SMA Storage M

The SMA Storage M stores electric energy that can be used at a later time. As part of the energy management system, it supports different applications such as:

• Increased self-consumption through intermediate storage of PV energy

• Provision of energy when PV generation is low or missing

• Energy supply of loads in emergency or secure power supply operation in case of a grid failure

• Support of energy management functions, e.g. for peak load shaving or using time-of-use electricity tariffs

As an alternative to SMA Storage M, other approved batteries can also be used in the system. An updated list of the batteries approved by SMA Solar Technology AG can be found in the technical information "Approved Batteries and Information on Battery Communication Connection"at www.SMA-Solar.com.
