Requirements for Commissioning the System

  • The AC circuit breaker must be correctly rated and mounted.
  • All products of the system must be correctly mounted.
  • Unused enclosure openings must be sealed tightly with filler plugs.
  • All cables must be correctly connected.
  • The hybrid inverter must be supplied with electric current on the PV side.
  • The product settings must correspond to the default settings; the products must not have been commissioned yet.
  • The hybrid inverter and the energy meter must be connected to the same network via Ethernet cable.
  • The qualified person who is commissioning the system must have a Sunny Portal user account or an SMA ID. In addition, it is recommended for the owner of the system to have access to Sunny Portal.
  • In systems with several inverters, the most powerful product should be configured as the System Manager. The battery and the SMA Backup solution must be connected to the System Manager.
