Introduction

This document describes the energy management functions powered by ennexOS. It explains the functions of the Energy Planner and Energy Maximizer, their potential applications, and how to activate the Energy Maximizer via SMA Premium.

The Energy Planner is aimed primarily at users who wish to configure and control their energy management individually. This function is available as a basic feature for all products powered by ennexOS. The functions include:

• Manual configuration of energy flows

• Control of the battery storage system

• Peak load management

• Visualization and analysis of the energy distribution

The Energy Maximizer is aimed at users who want their energy management to be optimized automatically. The function uses forecast data and intelligent algorithms to optimize energy flows automatically. The functions include:

• Automatic optimization of energy flows

• The use of generation and consumption forecasts

• Consideration of dynamic electricity tariffs

• Automatic control of the battery storage system and wall box

Energy Management powered by ennexOS is the new generation of SMA Energy Management functions. Operation in parallel with the Sunny Home Manager 2.0 is not possible. This document contains a comparison of the functions as an aid to selecting the most suitable solution.
