Commissioning procedure for on-grid applications with external energy management using ennexOS
Qualified person
This section describes the commissioning procedure for an inverter used in systems with external energy management for on-grid applications using ennexOS.
Only 1 device in the system can be used as System Manager at a time (e.g., SMA Data Manager or an inverter as System Manager). All other devices must be configured as a subordinate device and recorded in the System Manager.
It provides an overview of the steps, which must be performed in the prescribed sequence.
Procedure | See | |
|---|---|---|
Switch on all SMA Speedwire devices that are to be subordinate to the System Manager (e.g., inverters, energy meters). | Manual of the devices | |
Switch on the inverter that is to be configured as the System Manager. | ||
Establish a connection to the user interface of the inverter that is to be configured as System Manager. There are various connection options to choose from for this:
| ||
If required, change the network configuration on the welcome page. | Commissioning Assistant | |
Carry out the configuration using the Commissioning Assistant. Select Inverter as System Manager in the device configuration. | Commissioning Assistant | |
Make further settings if necessary:
| ||
To monitor the system in the Sunny Portal and view the data visually, create a user account in the Sunny Portal and create a system in the Sunny Portal or add devices to an existing system. | ||
Deactivate the energy management function. | ||
Activate the Modbus function. | ||
Start the system. | ||
