Configuring the Service Access
In the event of a malfunction of the product, it may be necessary for a service user authorized by SMA Solar Technology AG to access the user interface of the product.
Service access must be activated to execute warranty services. If a quick and uncomplicated service intervention is to be enabled in an emergency, the service access must be permanently activated.
Service access can be activated or deactivated at any time.
Procedure:
- Open the user interface ( > Establishing a connection to the user interface).
- Log into the user interface as an User or Installer ( > Logging In and Out of the User Interface).
- Select the menu User settings.
- Select [Access rights].
- Select [Service].
- Enable or disable service access using the drop-down list:
- To activate service access permanently, click on [Yes, permanently] in the drop-down list.
- To enable service access for a specific time, click on [Yes, temporary] in the drop-down list and adjust the expiration date if necessary.
- To deactivate service access, click [no] in the drop-down list.
- Click on [Save] to save the changes.
