Changing Operating Parameters
The parameters of the inverter are set to certain values by default. You can change the parameters to optimize the performance of the inverter.
This section describes the basic procedure for changing operating parameters. Always change operating parameters as described in this section.
Some function-sensitive parameters can only be viewed by qualified persons and can only be changed by qualified persons by entering the personal SMA Grid Guard code. You can request the SMA Grid Guard code via the Online Service Center.
No configuration via Sunny Explorer
Sunny Explorer does not support the configuration of inverters with their own user interface. The inverter can be detected via Sunny Explorer, however it is expressly not recommended to use Sunny Explorer to configure this inverter. SMA Solar Technology AG does not accept liability for missing or incorrect data and possibly resulting yield losses.
- Use the inverter's user interface for configuration.
Requirements:
Changes to grid-relevant parameters must be approved by the responsible grid operator.
Procedure:
- Open the user interface ( > Establishing a Connection to the User Interface).
- Log into the user interface ( > Logging In and Out of the User Interface).
- Call up the menu Device parameters.
- Click on [Edit parameters].
- Navigate to the parameter or use the search function. In the view and search, it is possible to switch between channel and name.
- Log in using the SMA Grid Guard code to change those parameters designated by a lock (only for installers). In the menu, select User Settings > SMA Grid Guard Login, enter the SMA Grid Guard code and select [Login].
- Change the required parameters.
- Select [Save all] to save the changes.
- The parameters are set.
